Homework Tips
Homework is a time for your child to practice what s/he learned in school. It should be completed independently. If your child asks for help, feel free to do so, but please write me a note letting me know that the homework was done with help (e.g. "Done with help. -Mom") so that I can follow up with your child in school.
- Establish a routine and stick to it
- Set up a quiet spot for doing homework
- Stock your spot with pencils, erasers, paper, crayons, ruler, stapler, etc.
- If your child is struggling or working for more than 40 minutes on any assignment (not including independent reading), please write me a note!
